The goal of this company is to assist projects that help establishing a Sustainable Earth by providing training, guidance, and on site support.

This company was established in 2017 and builds on a combined 45 years of experiences in environmental data collection, evaluation and research, fieldwork, analytical practices, and student training.

Birgit Hagedorn, PhD, Owner

Environmental Geochemist and Scientist 

Over 25 years of research and field experiences in polar and temperate environments. Specializing in bioremediation concepts, site investigations, and training of environmental workforce. In depth experiences in analytical chemistry (ICP MS, GC MS, LC MS/MS, IC) including development and streamlining of standard operation procedures, QA/QC protocols and modeling of water quality and other geochemical and environmental data using PhreeqC and Geochemical Workbench.
Master Degree in Geology/Mineralogy from Braunschweig University of Technology, Germany, PhD in Geochemistry and Isotope Geochemistry from Heidelberg
University, Germany.

Keith Torrance, PhD
Certified Professional Geologist

Dr. Torrance is a practicing environmental geologist and works on contaminated site characterization and remediation projects throughout Alaska. He performed projects  around Barrow and other North Slope Communities. He is a Chartered Geologist, a Certified Professional Geologist and a Professional Hydrologist.
Keith has an undergraduate degree in Geology from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. He initially worked in the mining and energy sectors in Australia and the United Kingdom then got sidetracked into compound semiconductor processing for a number of years. He completed a Master’s degree in geo-environmental engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, investigating arsenic-rich semiconductor waste, before completing the circle with his PhD thesis on arsenic geochemistry in surface water at historical mine sites in Alaska and Scotland. He recently completed a graduate certificate in Environmental Regulations and Permitting at UAA.

Jacqueline Summer

Business Developer and Operation
Jacqueline Summers has worked in program operations and business development for over 20 years. Jacqueline has a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Master of Adult Education from the University of Alaska Anchorage. 
Jacqueline has been a part of organizing a number of entrepreneurial programs since 2016 including the Ocean Technology Innovation Sprint (OTIS), VOLT49, Anchorage Startup Weekend, Alaska Startup Week, Vitalize Alaska, Growspace, and The Anchorage Museum Innovation Dash, and Accelerate Alaska.

Brian Coyle, MS (subcontractor)
Geophysicist and Hydrogeologist

Brian has 25+ years of experiences in geophysical and hydrogeological data collection, data evaluation and modeling. He completed his master in Exploration Geophysics at Stanford University and a Master of Engineering at University of California, Berkeley. His expertise is in a wide variety of geophysical and hydrological data collection systems and usage of diverse array of mechanical and hydrogeological modeling tools. He worked in many remote areas of Alaska overseeing and managing application of data collection systems. Brian works on an "as needed" basis for SEARCH LLC. You can see Brians CV here brian_cv.pdf
