Chemical Data Reviewing and Reporting:
Sustainable Earth performed data reviews (L2 through L4) for federal and state projects including inorganic and organic contaminants analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP MS), Gas Chromatography with Mass Spectrometer (MS), Flame Ionization Detector (FID) and Electron capture Detector (ECD), and High Performance Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometer (HPLC MS/MS). Data reviews include analytical methods for VOCs (SW8260D), SVOCs (GRO (AK101), DRO/RRO (AK102/103), PCBs (SW8082A), SVOCs (8270D), Metals (RCRA) (SW 6020B), and PFCs (EPA methods 533, 537, 537.1).
Supported companies: ChemTrack Alaska Inc., Talarik Research and Restoration Services LLC., Kasteler Consulting Inc., Corvid LLC.

Research:
Winter water quality in urban streams (2020 to 2023)
Sustainable Earth Research LLC is sampling and analyzing samples from Chester Creek an urban stream in Anchorage, AK to determine if street maintenance such as distributing gravel and salt and other compounds affect waters quality. This is in context of climate change which may increase the frequency of melting events during the winter month (October through April). This is part of a larger research project at University of Alaska within the National Science Foundation Program Navigating the New Arctic.
Bristol Bay 2015 water quality report (2019)
Sustainable Earth Research LLC was subcontracted by the Alaska Center for Conservation Sciences (UAA) to write a water quality report on data collected in 2015 in the Nushagak and Kvichak watershed.
Vulnerability assessment for contaminants and pollutants in the Aleutians and Bering Sea (2020)
Sustainable Earth Research LLC was contracted by UAA and USFW to combine a number of contaminant data from state, federal and research databases to estimate areas of high vulnerability within the Aleutians and Bering sea coastal areas.

Drinking water quality assessment on Moloka'i, Hawai'i:
Home drinking water, spring water, and source catchment water was collected and analyzed for pH, TDS, metals and total organic carbon.
Home drinking water, spring water, and source catchment water was collected and analyzed for pH, TDS, metals and total organic carbon.
- Drinking water was collected from faucets in homes following EPA sampling guidelines
- Water was analyzed following EPA 200.8 guidelines
- pH and total dissolved solids (TDS) were determined with a WTW multiprobe.
- Data were evaluated based on EPA primary and secondary standards for drinking water.
- Final report covered 28 elemental analyses including Arsenic, Lead, Cadmium, Selenium, Zinc, Copper, and Aluminum.
Groundwater quality analysis Chugach Farm, Alaska
Well water was sampled directly from faucet after purging:
